Key Requirements:

1. Communication and Networking Skills:

Confident and outgoing personality.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, logistics providers, warehouse staff, clearing agents, and other key stakeholders.

2. Sales-Driven Mindset:

Strong ability to cold call, negotiate deals, pursue new business opportunities, and close sales.

Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Proactively source new clients and maintain long-term relationships by providing exceptional customer service.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally without escort, including but not limited to: DRC, Malawi, Angola, Namibia, Mozambique, etc.

Must also be willing to source and visit local clients.

3. Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and thoroughness to minimize costly errors throughout the export process.

4. Technical Proficiency:

Competent in using relevant software systems to manage export operations efficiently.

5. Problem-Solving Skills:

Capable of identifying and resolving challenges within the fast-paced and dynamic export environment.

6. Financial Proficiency:

Ability to understand and manage complex financial aspects of export transactions.

Skilled in account reconciliation and identifying discrepancies. 

Capable of calculating and managing financial risks.

7. Market Research and Analysis:

Proficient in conducting market research and analyzing both national and international data. 

Ability to identify new opportunities, emerging risks, and threats in various markets. 

Strong understanding of market and demand trends.

8. Accountability:

Takes full ownership of responsibilities and is answerable for the outcomes of decisions and actions.

9. Responsibility:

Committed to the timely and accurate completion of tasks and duties.

10. Personal Attributes:

Self-driven and capable of working independently.

Highly motivated and goal-oriented.

Passionate about sales and international business development.
