Duties
Brief RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• I’m an Information Technology professional with over 12 years of experience leading the delivery of value-driven technology solutions that drive the continued growth of professional services organizations. I am Currently providing IT support for Emerson Business Units for middle east and sub-Sahara and this include Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria Tunisia and including South African Business unit.
• I am particularly strong in evaluating needs, identifying opportunities, aligning technology investments with business goals, and leading in the delivery critical projects.
I was recently in charge of merging 3 sites into one facility:
o WAN\LAN Refresh in the new premises
o Server Refresh – implementing one Core server to support all 3 sites in one facility
o Implementation of centralized printing and considering Cost saving
o Removing of legacy PRI Telephone system into SIP solution
o Boardroom AV implementation
o Consolidating of 3 business unit mobiles account into 1 corporate account and considering cost saving
Infrastructure
• Design, installation & transfer infrastructure
• Coordinate with External IT Vendors (IS- Internet solution, Dell for all IT Hardware\servers\ Switches)
• Support & maintenance all Hardware and infrastructure- Routers, switches, Wireless APs & Lan Cables.

? Consolidated IT Services for Emerson Industrial Automation (South Africa) to one facility. Reported significant savings on WAN, Telephony and Core Infrastructure charges.
? IT Infrastructure built-out for Emerson industrial Automation. WAN, Cisco IPT, Cisco LAN and WLAN Backbone.
? WLAN Optimization exercise.
? Cost Center saving initiatives – Mobile device and office automation consolidation. Projected satisfactory on monthly savings
? Emerson ASCO Numatics (South Africa) Cisco WLAN and Cisco IPT roll-out.
Operations
• Data protection on all hardware using Pointsec\Bitlocker Encryption and Virus tools
• Data protection on servers and File structure management
• Implementing Data retention policy as per Business unit requirement
• Working closely with the BU on Disaster recovery plan implementation and document reviews
• Support & maintenance for standard IT-issued equipment & applications (Hardware-Servers, PC, Laptop, Mobile device & software)
• Mailbox management - includes data back-ups, clean-up & storage per retention policies
• Device security – includes password setting and re-setting
• Training employees on how to use company devices appropriately
• Providing Support on ERP System- Syspro, Pastel and Internal Web application
• Managing Assets for all sites and refreshing equipment per their life span
Telecoms
• Mobile & land line support & management
• Manage Vadacom\ MTN package plan with the vendors for cost saving purposes
• Manage and Support Cisco phones and call manager for BUs
• Telecoms equipment usage
• Installing and training users on WebEx, Teams and Cisco Jabber
