Boilermaker

Position: Boilermaker

• Responsibilities:
• Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair boilers, tanks, vats, and other large vessels used in the mining industry
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems, mechanical equipment, and components
• Use hand and power tools to fabricate and weld metal components, such as plates and tubes, to build boilers and pressure vessels
• Inspect workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with engineers, plumbers, and pipefitters to install and repair piping systems that connect boilers to various equipment in the mining site
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used for maintenance and repair purposes
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
• Skills:
• Proficiency in using a variety of welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and flux-cored arc welding
• Knowledge of different types of metals and alloys used in the construction of boilers and pressure vessels
• Understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision to produce high-quality work
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment in the mining environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with boilers and pressure vessels
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and on budget.

Position: Boilermaker

• Responsibilities:
• Fabricate, assemble, and install boilers, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and other heavy metal structures in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
• Cut, shape, and bend metal to create various components using tools such as shears, press brakes, and welding equipment
• Inspect and test completed structures for quality and adherence to safety standards
• Repair and maintain existing structures by replacing parts, welding seams, and conducting regular inspections
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, pipefitters, and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Follow proper safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
• Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed for project tracking and reporting purposes
• Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong welding skills, including knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment
• Familiarity with a variety of metalworking tools and machinery
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in challenging environments
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and repair structural issues quickly and efficiently
• Attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in fabrication and installation processes
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and communicate project updates effectively.

Position: Boilermaker

• Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of boilers, tanks, and vats
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using measuring tools and marking devices
• Remove defects such as burrs and sharp edges, using hand tools or portable grinders
• Shape or fabricate parts using shears, brakes, and welding equipment
• Assemble parts by bolting, welding, riveting, or soldering
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves and regulators
• Test and inspect completed boiler systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
• Perform routine maintenance on boilers and related systems
• Skills:
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work in tight spaces and heights
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the mining industry
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in challenging environments
