RESPONSIBILITY OF JOB:
To ensure high plant availability by carrying out mechanical repairs, maintenance, plant modifications, and installations in accordance with agreed standards and in compliance with NOSA, O.H.S.A and BSI ISO 9000 2000
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS) Responsible for:
All maintenance, modifications and repairs are carried out to ensure plant availability of at least 97 %.
Work planned by the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Foreman must be carried out to the correct standards and timely.
Preventative maintenance and monitoring are correctly carried out daily and areas of concern are immediately reported to the Engineering Manager.
Liaising with the production personnel to determine problem areas on the plant.
Breakdowns are to be attended to immediately and rectified in the shortest time possible. Breakdowns occurring after normal working hours are to be reported to the Engineering Manager within 10 minutes of breakdown.
Suggestion and ideas to be discussed with the Engineering Manager on improving the plant.
All work to be done without neglecting safety, legislation, policies and procedures.
The best quality and service is to be given when maintaining, modifying, fabricating or installing equipment to the plant.
Correct start up procedures of equipment to be followed at all times.
