Key Responsibilities:
Welding Inspection & Testing
- Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess weld integrity and compliance with ASME, AWS, API, ISO, and project specifications.
- Identify and report welding defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, including weld maps, visual inspection records, and test results.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualifications.
NDT Methods & Quality Control
- Conduct inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT).
- Oversee welding activities on-site or in the workshop, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Verify that welding teams follow approved welding procedures and industry codes.
Training & Support
- Assess and verify welder qualifications through visual inspections and test witnessing.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors, welders, and fabrication personnel on welding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.

Requirements:
- Certified Welding Inspector (Level 1 welding qualification)
- Proven experience in welding inspection, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of NDT methods and industry codes (ASME, AWS, API, ISO).
- Proficiency in inspection reporting and documentation.
- Ability to identify welding defects and recommend corrective measures.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
