Role

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Harare for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer & Operator for SINUMERIK 828D and GSK-based machines. The CNC Programmer/Operator will be responsible for creating and optimising CNC machine programs, ensuring precision and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating, editing, and optimising CNC programs
• Interpreting technical drawings and engineering blueprints
• Selecting appropriate tools and materials
• Setting up and operating CNC machines
• Troubleshooting programming and machining errors
• Collaborating with Engineers and Machinists to deliver high-quality products

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator, preferably in the Engineering or Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in CNC programming with strong expertise in G-Code and M-Code
• Ability to read and accurately interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Proven experience in setting up and operating CNC machines efficiently and accurately
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software and related programming tools
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Machining | Hydraulics | Fitting | Fabrication

• Understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
• Relevant technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent work experience in CNC Programming or Machining
