The Senior Regional Commercial Sales Manager will lead, grow, and professionalise the sales organisation across the Northern region of South Africa, ensuring strong revenue growth, operational discipline, and high-performance sales teams.
The role is responsible for scaling distribution, improving retail execution, and developing regional sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Sales Growth
- Deliver revenue and operating profit targets for the Northern region.
- Expand retail and wholesale distribution.
- Identify new growth channels and territories.
2. Sales Team Leadership
- Manage Regional Managers and Area Managers.
- Recruit and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Replace underperformers quickly.
3. Execution & Discipline
- Improve sales reporting and accountability.
- Ensure strong retail execution and distribution coverage.
- Track strike rates, conversions, and territory productivity.
4. Key Account Execution
- Work closely with national Key Account Management teams.
- Ensure regional compliance with pricing and display agreements.
5. Territory Expansion
- Map and optimise sales territories.
- Increase outlet penetration and category share.
