- The below highlights the key areas of focus but is not limited to
- Preparation of the charge sheets where there is evidence that a sheriff has acted in contravention of the Code of Conduct and / or the Act
- Act as evidence leader in disciplinary matters and internal appeal
- Prepare applications for suspension of sheriffs drafting criminal affidavits on behalf of SABFS removal from office of sheriffs charge letters and criminal referre
- Oversee the timeous scheduling of disciplinary enquiries and provide guidance and support to the legal and complaints department
- Oversee litigation matters and related task
- Analyse complaints inspections and audit reports to determine whether sufficient evidence exists to institute disciplinary proceedings or to decline a matter
- Attending to general administrative record keeping and liaising with other departments
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Sheriffs Act Regulations Code of Conduct and supporting legislation applicable to the sheriffs profession
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal Demonstrate knowledge
- Sound Customer relation
- Computer literacy and report writing
- Ability to prepare complex applications for suspension and removal
