Reporting to the National Sales Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- To ensure sales results, execution, activities and strategies are aligned with the pillar’s KPI’s and operating plan;
- To drive the sales growth across all channels in South Africa through qualitative management of a geographical split of the dedicated sales executive team;
- To lead, develop and support the sales executive/s to deliver profitable and sustainable results across all channels;
- To ensure sales, market share, brand awareness and customer’s loyalty are constantly growing across channels in the assigned geographical territory; and
- To build strategies for the future and growth of the brand.
KEY TASKS WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Execute brand sales strategy aligned with business objectives in cooperation with senior management and other key role players
Execute sales target achievement:
Assume responsibility for sales targets; and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Collaborate closely with other divisions to align and execute strategy implementation.
- Be cognisant of annual budget parameters and monitor spend to remain within budget.
- Identify opportunities to run promotions and collaborate with Management/Marketing to execute.
- Analyse market trends and constantly identify and develop new opportunities for growth.
- Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with customer base.
- Oversee the identification and on-boarding of new clients and maintain relationships.
- Regularly visit high-profile clients and render after-sales service.
- Acquire product knowledge by attending all training sessions.
- Constantly improve product knowledge to provide clients with expert advice.
- Gain and provide feedback to effectively implement corrective action where required.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to ensure brand consistency.
- Share innovative ideas for continuous business growth.
- Report on sales results and offer strategies for improvement.
- Analyse sales data in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of products.
- Analyse sales data in order to identify growth opportunities and identify reasons for lost sales.
- Perform all ad hoc administrative duties attached to this role, including credit applications - ensure POPI Act requirements are adhered to.
