Permanent - Forklift Driver - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

A Forklift Driver is responsible for operating industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials safely and efficiently within warehouses, storage yards, or production facilities. The role supports smooth logistics operations by ensuring goods are handled correctly and stored in the appropriate locations.

 Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and in compliance with company policies
• Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and storage areas
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility
• Stack and organize products in warehouses or storage areas
• Inspect forklifts before use and report any maintenance or safety issues
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required

Key Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification/license
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial environment
• Good understanding of safety procedures and regulations
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items when needed
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory tracking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime if required
