The General Ledger Manager oversees all general ledger activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the general ledger and chart of accounts
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
Maintain compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) or GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Improve and streamline accounting processes and systems
