Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled IT Support professional to join our team in the cement industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and networks.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Respond to technical support requests from employees regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems and provide timely solutions.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data security.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain IT infrastructure projects.
  • Document IT procedures, processes, and configurations.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the cement industry to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Key Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) is a plus.

  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IT systems, software applications, and hardware components commonly used in the cement industry. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues independently.
  • System Administration: Proficiency in managing servers, databases, and network infrastructure relevant to cement manufacturing processes. Experience with operating systems, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Software Support: Familiarity with specialized software used in cement production such as inventory management systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and quality control applications. Ability to provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Cybersecurity Awareness: Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and protocols to ensure data integrity and protect sensitive information within the cement industry. Understanding of network security, data encryption, and threat detection measures.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills to handle multiple IT projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines within the fast-paced environment of cement manufacturing facilities.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication abilities to assist non-technical staff, convey complex technical concepts in simple terms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams within the cement industry.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset to identify root causes of IT-related issues, propose innovative solutions, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency in cement plants.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, software upgrades, and evolving IT trends in the cement industry. Flexibility to respond promptly to urgent technical issues and provide on-call support if required.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with IT colleagues, engineers, production staff, and management personnel to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions with operational processes in cement manufacturing facilities.
