Job Description:

Our company is seeking an experienced HR and Wage Clerk to join its team in a production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full HR and wage administration function, ensuring accurate payroll processing, employee record management, recruitment support, time and attendance administration, and compliance with company policies and labour legislation. The position requires strong Sage 300 experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • HR, Payroll Administration, or related qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an HR and Wage Clerk.
  • Proven Sage 300 experience is essential.
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Full-function wage and payroll administration experience.
  • Sound knowledge of BCEA, LRA, and payroll legislation.
  • Experience with time and attendance systems.

  • Strong payroll and wage processing skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and Sage 300).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly wages and payroll accurately.
  • Capture and maintain employee records on Sage 300.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave, and payroll deductions.
  • Manage time and attendance records.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee inductions.
  • Maintain personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
  • Assist with disciplinary hearings and HR administration.
  • Handle employee queries relating to wages, leave, and benefits.
  • Liaise with management regarding HR and payroll matters.
  • Generate HR and payroll reports as required.
HR, Payroll Administration, or related qualification will be advantageous.
