Role Overview:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design, layout and visual execution of integrated annual reports for JSE-listed companies. This includes taking projects from concept through to final print or digital delivery, while ensuring brand alignment, regulatory compliance and adherence to strict reporting deadlines.
Recent examples of the calibre of work this role covers include integrated and annual reporting suites for Vodacom, Discovery and Alexander Forbes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of integrated reports, annual reports and related corporate publications.
- Interpret financial and non-financial content into visually engaging layouts and infographics.
- Work directly with client teams, consultants or reporting agencies to understand project objectives and messaging.
- Ensure all design work aligns with corporate branding and reporting frameworks (e.g. King IV™, GRI, IIRC), and meets stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with copywriters, editors, proofreaders and project managers to ensure cohesive, accurate report delivery.
- Prepare and deliver high-resolution print-ready and interactive digital files (e.g. PDF, web-ready formats).
- Manage multiple report design projects simultaneously, maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Adhere to tight, immovable deadlines — particularly around financial year-end reporting cycles.
- Maintain accountability for project milestones, timelines and quality assurance.
- Implement client feedback quickly and accurately at all stages of the report development process.
- Apply best practice in typography, layout structure and data visualisation.
