Reporting to the Poultry Business Unit Manager
Division: Sales & Marketing - Veterinary Services
About the Role:
Reporting to the Poultry Business Unit Manager, the National Veterinary Services Manager – Poultry is responsible for implementing and adapting the Veterinary Services Strategy at a local level, driving technical excellence, and supporting Marketing, Customer Services, and Sales teams across the Business Unit.
Key Accountabilities:
Product Leadership:
- Drive internal and external confidence in the company's product portfolio
- Co-develop the local Business Plans for Key Accounts, aligned to Global and Zone strategy
- Ensure veterinary activities are aligned with Corporate Strategic/Key Account Management and Marketing strategies
- Gather and relay local technical data to adapt Key Account Business Plans and support the company's products
- Publish technical articles with local data
Customer Relationships & Market Penetration:
- Build and strengthen relationships with key customers through value-driven engagement
- Conduct regular Key Customer visits and professional consultations
- Actively participate in Key Account discovery processes and serve as a trusted market contact
- Actively assist the sales team to differentiate the company’s products and drive market share growth.
Customer Guidance & Technical Advice:
- Respond promptly to customer troubleshooting needs; schedule visits and resolve issues efficiently
- Provide technical and scientific advice to customers and Sales personnel
- Deliver expert diagnoses and participate in Business Reviews and Pulse Meetings with Key Customers
- Training, Education & Knowledge Management
- Attend Corporate-led training, congresses, seminars, and industry events
- Maintain high levels of expertise through continuous self-development
- Define and execute Veterinary Services Training Plans for the local Business Unit
- Develop and deliver technical training programmes for Key Customers
Customer Feedback & Reporting:
- Design and manage customer trials
- Gather insights from Veterinary Services Specialists/technicians and Key Customers
- Consolidate and share market intelligence with local and corporate teams
- Report on monitoring protocols and trial results; store information for future projects
Scientific Expertise & Networking:
- Build and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Influencers to amplify the company's scientific messaging
- Identify rising influencers to foster future strategic relationships
- Support local Marketing and Sales teams as subject matter expert on range-related diseases
Team Management:
- Lead, develop, and manage the local Veterinary Services team as required
Accountabilities:
Ensuring Product Leadership:
The National Veterinary Services Manager needs to:
• Be accountable for product leadership by creating a high internal/external level of confidence in Products.
• Define, with the local team, the local Business Plan, based on the Global Strategy created by Corporate and cascaded by the Zone.
• Own the Business Plan implementation.
• Gather feedback and technical data from the local teams to adjust/adapt the Business Plan and provide feedback to Corporate.
• Ensure alignment up to/across, Corporate Strategic/Key Account Management and Marketing.
• Publish technical articles.
Managing Customer Needs, Relationships & Market Penetration:
Build and/or improve the relationship with Customers, by sharing information that demonstrates value to them.
Conduct regular Key Customer visits, and provide professional consultations, as needed.
Participate actively in the discovery steps for Key Accounts.
Act as a key contact to build trust and credibility within the local market.
Actively support the sales team in growing the company’s market share with Key Accounts.
Providing Customer Guidance & Advice:
• In the case of Customers requiring troubleshooting, demonstrate responsiveness by scheduling visits immediately and taking the actions necessary to resolve the reported issues.
• Provide technical and scientific advice to Customer- and Sales personnel.
• Deliver Expert support and diagnoses, as needed.
• Participate regularly in Business Reviews with Key Customers (i.e. Pulse Meetings), the Vaccination Services & Equipment- and the Sales teams.
Ensure Training, Education & Knowledge Management:
• Attend regular Corporate training, congresses, seminars and events in his/ her professional areas of expertise.
• Self-train on new technical updates, in order to maintain high levels of expertise.
• Hold local responsibility for spreading Technical/ Marketing/Customer support information, by defining and executing Veterinary Services team Training Plans.
• Ensure technical training of the Business Unit’s local organization, supporting Customer Services/Sales team activities.
• Develop training on technical activities, with the aim of sharing this knowledge with Key Customers.
Collecting & Reporting on Customer Feedback:
• Define specific Customers’ trials.
• Gather information from Veterinary Services technician and Key Customers.
• Share collected information with the Veterinary Services teams, and later on with the rest of the local team.
• Provide the Franchise Veterinary Services Manager and Corporate with feedback on current local Market situations.
• Share relevant information with Customers and store the information for later projects.
• Report activity protocols and trial results to local and Corporate teams.
Scientific Expertise Management & Networking:
• Discover/nurture relationships, and work with Key Opinion Leaders and Influencers, in order to gain their views, the results from studies, and lead them to spontaneously spread company’s messages throughout various Customer communities.
• Discover rising Influencers, in order to anticipate and foster future relationships.
• Provide support to the local Marketing and Sales teams as an Expert on Range related diseases, as needed
Management of Veterinary Services team:
- Provide oversight on all Veterinary Services projects.
- Ensure Veterinary Services team is fully trained to conduct all sampling, post-mortem and data gathering activities required in trial protocols.
- Maintain a cohesive Veterinary Services team that collaborates effectively with the rest of the sales team.
- Manage the activities of the Veterinary Services team and provide feedback to the Poultry Business Unit Manager
