Job Description

• Develop and manage the strategic ICT direction of the organisation.
• Ensure effective delivery of ICT services and performance expectations.
• Contribute to the organisation’s Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
• Oversee the development of the ICT Architecture Plan / Master Systems Plan.
• Oversee ICT architectural strategy, policies and procedures.
• Oversee ICT Operations and Infrastructure Management.
• Oversee ICT governance and security.
• Identify compliance gaps and ensure appropriate remediation.
• Develop and manage the ICT budget.
• Optimise resources to support service delivery.
• Develop and implement IT quality assurance and risk management.
• Manage ICT-related projects and business operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers and ensure appropriate SLAs/contracts are in place.

Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent NQF Level 9 qualification.
• Minimum 10 years’ working experience.
• 3–5 years’ senior management experience in a large or complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of ICT systems, networks and ICT architecture.
• Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and frameworks.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity awareness programmes.
• Knowledge of large-scale system development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, including PFMA, GAAP, King IV, LRA, SDA, BCEA and Companies Act.
• Advanced computer and digital literacy.
• Experience managing third-party service providers and SLAs/contracts.
• Strong people management skills.
• Emotional intelligence.
